An artistic research of generative documentation of places and movements
Slitscanning is a camera and film technique in which the camera/input device is scanning only a one pixel line per frame and place the “slits” next to each other. With a fix camera position the technic converses everything which is part of the non moving space into a color repetition and draws the line and shape of movements happening in that space in time: The result a visual timeline with a movement graph of the recorded place.
I use this technique as a documenting aparatus for places , people and motion.
Art of Molecule
Art of Molecule is a running collaboration between the Master of Transdisciplinary Studies at the Zurich University of the Arts and the NCCR lab (Molecular Systems Engineering, headed by the University of Basel and the ETH Zurich), to foster an exchange among artists and scientists since 2017.
